  3. Canned Goods / Nonperishable Food (including powdered milk)
  4. Baby Care items (Diapers, formula etc)
  5. Water (You know you stocked up before Sandy, and don’t need it now.)
  6. Pet Food
  7. Blankets, Gently used or New.
  8. Clothing, Gently used or New, but this need is now less urgent.

Items we are NOT accepting at this time:

  • Furniture
  • Mattresses
  • Used Pillows

Please Pre-sort and label items

Since this is a grassroots effort any additional sorting and labeling you can do before you drop things off will make loading the Karma truck easier.

It would be helpful to sort & label according these guidelines (It’s how we’re organizing the items)

  • Non-Perishable Food
  • Baby Clothing
  • Kids Clothing
  • Women’s Clothing
  • Men’s clothing

  1. We’ll be bringing blankets, coats, gloves, hats, some canned stuff and anything else we can find. Do you need towels and sheets?? What about shoes?? Please let me know.

  2. What a great idea!!! A friend of mine is donating baby food and formula to your truck which is how I learned about your organization. I have been working at Sandy hurricane relief centers all week mostly in the Far Rockaways. By far the greatest need is for batteries, cleaning supplies and personal hygiene items not as much need for clothing. Thank you for everything you are doing!
